Once more, we have concluded a year with a fun performance with our horses followed by a nice get together. This year’s program points included vaulting, long lining, jumping, a stick horse performance and of course our quadrille. Videos can be seen here. The stick horse freestyle that was intended to be a Totilas Tribute has become somewhat of a hit on YouTube with close to 20,000 views already. Enjoy.

Year End Awards 2009 |
10/29/2009 |
Ruth Bley’s 4-year old mare “En Vogue” received the All Breed Champion Hanoverian 2009 in Training Level. Maureen Lamb’s “Rubin Black” placed 3rd in the same ranking. Both youngsters were selected by Christiane Noelting and their new owners at the November Auction in Verden last year and have been in Training at the Christiane Noelting Dressage Center since then.

With an average score of 72%, En Vogue had the fourth highest result of all competing horses in Training Level - Amateur. And even in comparison to professional riders, Ruth and her mare were amongst the top 5% in the US, placing 30th out of 608 horses. Ruben Black, together with Ruth’s second young horse Wiscotti, which also came to us from the November Auction in 2008, were among the top 10% of all competing horses in Training Level, Open and Amateur. Wiscotti also placed 3rd in the CDS Open Futurity 2009. Congratulations to both Maureen and Ruth to their fantastic youngsters. This time the Auction Catalog’s slogan proved right by saying: “The future looks bright for these young horses!”
In addition to our highly successful young horses, the only 9 year old gelding Ritello had a most impressive season at 4th Level and Prix St. Georges. With his owner Maureen Lamb he placed 11th at the Amateur Year End Award at 4th Level. Ritello also came in 4th at the USDF Open Prix St. Georges Region 7 Championships at the Annual Show in Rancho Murieta, California. |
