Dear Competitors,
we have made big changes to our Dressage Derby Series. Beginning in 2011, we will have 5 Dressage Shows at the CNDC show ground - all counting toward the Derby Drawing at the last competition in September. Derby I will be held on Friday, May 27 with Derby II following Saturday and Sunday, May 28 & 29. This will allow for an extended weekend of high quality Dressage Competition. You will benefit from the opportunity to earn qualifying scores at two shows, while conveniently staying just one additional day. Take advantage of the opportunity of saving on expenses like stabling and traveling and be part of the New Dressage Derby.
The same is true for Derby III and Derby IV. The extended weekend in June will feature Derby III on Friday, June 24, followed by Derby IV on Saturday and Sunday, June 25 & 26. At the September Show we will have our grand finale of the Dressage Derby Series 2011. Just as in the 10 years before, we will give out a free Schleese Saddle to the winner of the Derby Drawing on September 10th. Additional prizes like, Schleese double bridles, stirrup leathers, saddle pads, halters, Skagen watches, books, photographs etc, adding up to more than $15,000, will be given out to everybody qualifying for the Derby Drawing.
Show dates number 2 and 4 are Official Qualifying Competitions for the FEI North American Junior and Young Riders’ Championships and Collecting Gaits
Farm / USEF National Junior, Young Rider & Brentina Cup Championships, and are Official Qualifying Competitions for the Markel/USEF Young Horse Dressage Program and USEF National Developing Horse Dressage Championship (sponsoredby the Dutta Corp & PSI).
Five times a year the Christiane Noelting Dressage Center is host to the Dressage Derby Series. With prizes worth more than $15,000 the Dressage Derby is one of the most prestigious Shows in California and welcomes riders from as far as Oregon and Arizona. Each year we are proud to offer a free custom Schleese saddle to the winner of the Derby Lottery. Bridles, Double Bridles, Skagen Watches, girths, stirrup leathers, blankets, pads, books and many other items are given to those who qualify for the Derby Lottery.
